The manufacturer recommends this toy for ages 8 and up and Amazon recommends it for ages 6 and up.  We feel this is a pretty good age range although some younger, more mature kids may be able to handle this toy as well.  Children 3 and under should avoid this toy though b/c it has some pieces that are small and could cause a choking hazard.
